Following inspirational talks offered at the event, the OTs and a current Year 13 student enjoyed tea in the garden where they also had the opportunity to catch up with each other.
Milly Hibbs (OT 2014-2021) told us “Catching up with some old school friends only reinforced how much we all gained from partaking in the DofE award, hearing about what everybody has been up to over the past few years was wholesome and great to hear about”.
She continued “Everyone has gone on to do fantastic things, using the essential skills learnt in DofE, to go on and conquer the world outside of Trent. DofE instilled in us values that we continue to use day to day: perseverance, ambition and determination.”
“I can’t emphasise enough how rewarding DofE is for the youth of today and I can only encourage the rest of the Trent community to grasp the opportunity and hopefully round it off at the palace in a few years, to collect such a highly regarded award.”
Congratulations to Phoebe Penty (class of 2019), Hattie Siderfin, Holly Pitt, Milly Hibbs, Jasper Bishop, James Brady and William Airey (class of 2021), Dom Woodhead, Andrew Westerman and Tom Evans (class of 2022), and Tom (Year 13). It’s wonderful to see the boys wearing their OT ties with pride.
