
As Head of The Elms, Mrs Potter leads the community with pride for her school and devotion to its pupils and staff. An expert in strategic leadership, she is responsible for upholding the school’s first-class reputation for all-round education.
A Career in Independent Education
With 27 years’ experience of working in primary schools and a decade of those in the role of Head, Mrs Potter taught in a variety of well-established independent schools and international schools before commencing her headship at The Elms.
An Innovative Leader
Mrs Potter drives teaching and learning innovation across the school to ensure that pupils go further in their education through a broad and challenging curriculum that offers opportunities for every child to achieve. She supports pupils and staff in all aspects of school life, implementing and promoting engagement with new educational ideas within a global and technological society.
She believes that the best education promotes curiosity, independent thinking and problem solving. Her mission is to instil in every Elms pupil a love of learning, which will allow them to reach their potential and develop the core values and skills essential for life beyond school.
Beyond the School Gates
In addition to her teaching career, Mrs Potter is a proud mother to her two daughters and boasts a hidden talent for juggling.
