Pre-School aims to provide a gradual integration into the whole school community, and increase confidence and sense of security. We want every child to look forward to their first day of school.

Outdoor DISCOVERY

Pre-School love to play outdoors! Their own play area has more opportunities for climbing and adventurous play and lots of opportunity to explore with friends.

CLOSER TO NATURE

Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.

AREAS WE EXPLORE

Regular access to the Infant School’s onsite Library fosters a love of reading from an early age. Guided by our school librarian, children can explore books with their friends and enjoy storytime.

There are regular experiences for Pre-School children to cook and bake. This is great fun but also includes skills such as measuring, weighing and listening to instruction. A well deserved sense of pride also comes with tasting and sharing their yummy creations!

Pre-School children dine with the whole school community within the Prince Obolensky Dining Hall, but in their own quiet room, supervised by staff they know. This helps the children prepare for school and is an exciting ‘grown up’ part of their day.
